CUNO Foodservice has a new name
3M™ Water Filtration

In 2005, 3M acquired CUNO, the global leader in liquid filtration. With the acquisition, 3M is positioned to address the quality of our global water supply, with innovative, practical and affordable filtration systems.

Today, 3M is putting CUNO’s contribution to its business in the spotlight by renaming CUNO Foodservice and Aqua-Pure® Commercial. The new name, 3M™ Water Filtration, illustrates the 3M commitment to water filtration as a core offering. It also brings the full power of the 3M brand to this critical business, as it is poised to become an even greater presence in leading innovation in commercial water filtration.

Our customers have relied on CUNO expertise, product quality, economy, distribution and service for decades. Now, as 3M Water Filtration, we also have the full weight and synergy of a global brand that resonates as a proven and trusted leader in developing innovative products that are healthier, safer and better.

The name and brand change will be complete in early 2008.

Reduced Scale Formation in Coffee Brewers with the NEW SF18-S ScaleGard® System

Save energy, lower your maintenance costs, and help maintain the steady performance of coffee brewers

The detrimental effects of lime scale formation in coffee brewers are minimized with a steady, measured, and controlled addition to the inlet brewing water of high-temperature scale inhibitor from the SF18-S ScaleGard system.  The performance of temperature and level sensors, spray heads, and heating coils are all affected by hard scale formation.  Energy efficiency is reduced significantly (up to or more than 25%) with a few thousands of inches of scale, spray-head water delivery and thus coffee quality becomes uneven, and temperature and level sensors, (hence cycle times and volumes) may move out of control. Two maintenance calls per year can cost up to $1000 or more, not to mention equipment replacement costs for irreversibly scaled equipment.
